OPPORTUNITY: Outward selling mission to Canada – July 2026

The Department of Trade Industry & Competition (the dtic) invites interested companies to participate in an Outward Selling Mission (OSM) to Saskatchewan, Canada on the margins of AG in Motion from 21-23 July 2026. AG in Motion is a high-impact agricultural exhibition and trade platform, particularly relevant for exporters, Agri-tech, Agri-innovation and Agri Machinery firms. The objective of the OSM is to facilitate access for South African value-added goods in to Canada. Planned activities include, Business-to-Business meetings at the AG in Motion exhibition.

Targeted sectors: 

• Agri-tech
• Agri-innovation
• Agri Machinery.

Entities that wish to apply for EMIA funding to participate in this event must:

• Have been in business for at least two years;
• Acquired a proven business track record;
• Be competitive in the South African market;
• Be export-ready and/or have exported previously;
• Have the capacity to timeously supply any export orders arising out of the visit; and
• Have a valid and active tax clearance certificate and compliant contributor B-BBEE
  certificate level 1-8.

the dtic will provide:

• Economy class return airfare up to a pre-determined maximum amount;
• Daily accommodation up to a pre-determined maximum amount (bed and breakfast only); and
• Excess luggage allowance of R2,500.
