Successful China Show Produces Good Leads and Deals for SA Companies

The South African business delegation has hailed the China International Import Expo (CIIE) a success after they generated good leads and business transactions that will enable most of the companies to make inroads into the Asian market.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Aluminium Federation of South Africa, (AFSA), Mr Muzi Manzi, participating in the expo has provided the federation with an opportunity to establish relations with various international industry stakeholders.

“The expo provided a perfect platform and opportunity for us to interact with various industry stakeholders. In the processs, several businesses from China showed keen interest in the South African aluminum industry. Together we identified numerous opportunities for possible collaboration between companies from the two countries with the aim of persuing concrete deals,” says Manzi.

AFSA represents eighty companies operating in various sectors, including the automotive, construction, and mining industries,

The Managing Director of  Miante Manufacturing, Ms Wendy Mpendulo says they managed to obtain promising business leads that will see them exporting their peanut butter to China in the near future.

“There is a lot of business opportunities in China that we still have to explore. It is just a matter of meeting the right agents and partners,” she says.

The Managing Director of Luhlaza Advisory and Consulting, Dr Avinash Bisnath says he met  with potential clients and suppliers who showed interest in collaborating with them on their geological and environmental resource management services.
