New funding opportunity for South African start-ups – the second develoPPP Ventures call for applications is open until 31 December 2025.

Your start-up has an innovative business idea that is creating sustainable change in South Africa? You have already generated your first revenues and are ready for the next step in your growth?

With develoPPP Ventures, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports start-ups in South Africa with a grant of up to 100,000 euros for suitable growth investments, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Participation requirements for develoPPP Ventures

• Your company is registered in the target country or plans to register there prior to the co-financed growth investmen 
• You are pursuing an innovative business model and are already generating initial revenue(proof of concept)
• Your business model has high development relevance and scalability and contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
