SUMMARY:SADC Industrialisation Week (SIW 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Trade\, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invites South African exporters\, manufacturers and industrial businesses to participate in the 9th SADC Industrialisation Week (SIW 2026)\, taking place from 27–31 July 2026 in Durban\, KwaZulu-Natal. \nOrganised as a flagship regional industrial development platform\, SIW 2026 will be held alongside the 46th SADC Heads of State and Government Summit and will bring together governments\, investors\, development finance institutions\, policymakers\, industry leaders\, SMEs\, academia and strategic partners from across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. \nUnder the theme: \n“Resilient\, Sustainable and Inclusive Industrialisation through Infrastructure Development\, Agricultural and Critical Minerals Transformation in Pursuit of a Just World\,” \nthe event aims to strengthen regional value chains\, promote industrial competitiveness\, mobilise investment and accelerate regional economic integration. \nParticipants will have opportunities to: \n\nShowcase products\, technologies and services to regional and international stakeholders.\nEngage in high-level policy and investment discussions.\nParticipate in business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions.\nExplore regional trade and export opportunities.\nConnect with investors\, procurement decision-makers and development partners.\nParticipate in sector-focused engagements aligned with SADC industrialisation priorities.\n\nThe dtic will showcase businesses operating within: \n\nMineral beneficiation\nAgro-processing\nPharmaceuticals\nFast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)\nInfrastructure and logistics\nLight manufacturing\nAutomotive sector\nFinancial services\n\nQualifying entities may receive support for exhibition space\, freight forwarding\, travel assistance and subsistence allowances in accordance with EMIA guidelines. \nApplications close on 25 June 2026 at 16h00. \nApplications are to be submitted HERE \n\n\n\nPurpose of the Event\nConferences\n\n\nWho should attend\n– Export-ready businesses\n– Manufacturers\n– SMEs and entrepreneurs\n– Investors and private equity firms\n– Development finance institutions\n– Business associations and chambers\n– Government agencies\n– Logistics and infrastructure companies\n– Financial institutions\n– Research and innovation organisations\n– Trade promotion agencies\n– Industry leaders and policymakers
